# Plans and Limits

Zuwiki is offered in three plans. Every organization starts on **Free** and can upgrade at any time. Billing is monthly per organization, paid through Stripe.

## At a glance

| Feature | Free | Start-Up | Pro |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Price per month | $0 | $7.99 | $14.99 |
| Members | 2 | 10 | 25 |
| Wikis | 1 | 5 | 10 |
| Image storage | 100 MB | 500 MB | 1 GB |
| Page history snapshots per page | 25 | 65 | 100 |
| Custom domain | yes | yes | yes |
| Private wikis | no | yes | yes |
| Custom OpenGraph image | no | yes | yes |
| Built-in wiki statistics | no | yes | yes |
| External analytics | no | no | yes |

## What the limits mean

**Members.** The number of users who can be added to the organization. Pending invitations count.

**Wikis.** The number of wikis you can have inside the organization. Archiving a wiki does not free a slot.

**Image storage.** The total size of images uploaded into pages. Once the cap is reached, new uploads are rejected until you free space or upgrade.

**Page history snapshots.** Each save creates a snapshot. Once a page reaches the cap, the oldest snapshot is dropped so new edits stay reversible. Older content is still recoverable, it just rolls forward.

**Custom domain.** Every plan, including Free, can serve a wiki on a domain you control. See [Custom Domain](/plans-account/custom-domain) for the setup.

**Private wikis.** On the Free plan every wiki is public. Paid plans unlock private wikis: you can gate a public wiki behind an account, a password, or a verified email domain, and set visibility per category and page. See [Visibility for Public Wikis](/access-sharing/visibility-and-access) and [Public vs Internal Wikis](/access-sharing/public-vs-internal-wikis).

**Custom OpenGraph image.** Replace the default link preview image when a wiki page is shared on social networks.

**Built-in wiki statistics.** A first party view of how a wiki is read, built into Zuwiki, with no third party account required.

**External analytics.** Connect Google Analytics, PostHog, or a similar provider to a published wiki.

## Choosing a plan

- Solo or a tiny team experimenting: **Free** is enough.
- A real team that wants a public knowledge base: **Start-Up**.
- Multiple teams, mixed visibility, external analytics: **Pro**.

## Changing plan

Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period. If a downgrade would put you over a limit, for example by reducing your wiki count below what you currently have, you will be asked to remove the surplus before the change applies.

## Custom limits

If your project does not fit any of the three plans, get in touch. Open source projects in particular can ask about sponsored access, see [Zuwiki for Open Source](/plans-account/zuwiki-for-open-source).
